BAMAPA, a non-government, non-profit making and non-partisan voluntary organisation has been established on 2013 registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 with the Register of Joint Stock Companies being No- S-11749. It acts as a non-partisan, not-for-profit, non-proselytic, voluntary organization working in the field of human rights, environmental rights especially on, but not limited to, legal research, legal aid, public interest litigation, awareness, advocacy and capacity development issues. It also acts as the national think tank on the above-mentioned areas. To ensure and uphold equal and equitable human rights, environment friendly and rights-based society for is BAMAPA’s mission.

BAMAPA plans to address the following areas on the basis of three core values:

  • Respect towards Human Rights and Human Dignity

Core areas of intervention that BAMAPA will focus:

  • Establishment and promotion of human rights of its targeted beneficiaries, particularly marginalised group of people, women, children and elderly irrespective of their faith, sex, socio-economic and occupational status and ethnicity.
  • Promote awareness on human rights, environment and the effect of climate change.
  • Build capacities of key actors and duty bearers, where possible to uphold human rights, human dignity and sustainable environment.
  • Initiate public interest litigation, public hearing, legislative reform, networking, policy advocacy to promote and protect human and environmental rights.
Organize initiatives at national and/or international level to support the government and non-government organizations achieve their respective targets concerning environmental human rights, gender mainstreaming, disability and ethnic minority issues
